Directions:

The quickest and easiest route to The Historic Dockyard by road is via the A2/M2 junction 1 then follow the brown anchor signs and use the A289 (Wainscott Bypass) and the Medway Tunnel straight to the main entrance. Pass through first security barrier (usually open) and then at second barrier confirm to the guard you are visiting us in the Admirals Offices and he will give you directions. The Admirals Offices are directly opposite the main car park inside the Dockyard (next to Commissioners House). There is a main reception in the building which is generally staffed between 0845 and 1700, outside of these hours, or if for any reason the reception desk is unmanned, please use the external intercom (dial B0009) to let us know you are here. We will collect you from reception. There is ample parking on site behind the historic helicopter!

From Junctions 1 and 4 of the M2:
Follow the A289 to the Medway Tunnel. At the tunnel follow signs to Chatham and the brown tourist signs.
From Junction 3 of the M2 and Junction 6 of the M20:
Follow the signs to Chatham, A229, then A230 and A231 and the brown tourist signs.
Brown Anchor signs lead to the Visitor Entrance at the north end of the site.
